Amazing Fact:
In Western Australia, scientists found a frog that is light blue, instead of usual green color. Scientists explained that the reason behind this type of color is because of a rare genetic mutation.
AWC field ecologist, Jake Barker in his statement on Monday, said: It was after dark when we first spotted it, perched on a bench in the workshop near our research centre.
It was very exciting. Magnificent tree frogs are very spectacular but seeing a blue one is once-in-a-lifetime chance.
According to Jodi Rowley: This condition is extremely rare.
This is one of a number of north-west endemics that we come across pretty regularly around here,” said Barker in the statement.
They’re not found anywhere else. That’s the great thing about working in the Kimberley – you never know what rare wildlife you’re going to see each day.
